"The room was excellent in design- just unique not like a chain, and very quiet. Having a sauna and fitness room in the middle of SF is also a great plus."

"My husband, myself, and our two yellow labs just spent 2 wonderful nights at this great hotel to celebrate my birthday, and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to visit San Francisco and bring along their dogs (what we called a "petcation"). The hotel was beautifully decorated and had several lounge areas to hang out and socialize with other guests."
"It was my 5th or 6th time in San Francisco, 1st time at Hotel Monaco. Loved it. Exceptional staff - friendly, helpful efficient. Hotel is lovely, very good public spaces - particular the main lounge with fire, wine, coffee, cool music. I did bring up a guest to my room for entire stay - a fish. The Monaco offers a bowl with goldfish in for your room and on my bedside table he/she resided."
"We loved the Hotel Monaco and had 5 great nights staying there on our first trip to San Francisco. It's in a good location, a few minutes' walk from Union Square. The staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly...certainly 'above and beyond' what you expect or find at most hotels. Every evening between 5-6pm the hotel has an hour of complimentary wine tasting in their lounge which we took advantage of and was a great way to relax after a day of exploration before heading out later in the evening."
