Set in an architecturally restored, turn-of-the-century ballroom with 30 foot high ceilings, the cafe reflects the grandeur of old Europe with touches of art nouveau and deco and exciting collections of commissioned murals, decorative art and faux finishes from a variety of local artists, as well as fanciful bronze sculptures by renowned Bay Area artist Albert Guibara that lend a sense of whimsy to the room.

The adjoining Grand Café Bar with a recently refurbished zincbar, wood burning oven and raw bar, provides the perfect backdrop for a casual meal or cocktail, or to casually sample the full Brasserie menu, before or after the theater.

The menu showcases Seafood Platters spilling over with oysters, shrimp, crab & clams; classic favorites like Terrine de Campagne, Assiette de Charcuterie, Tartare de Boeuf, Moules a la Normade, Cassoulet Maison, Boeuf Bourguignon, Soupe á l'Oignon Gratinée, Bouillabaisse, Steak Lyonnaise, Frites, Tarte de Meringue de Citron, Crème Brûlée, and Profiteroles and much more.

Perfect for a small bite, or to casually sample the full Brasserie menu. The seafood display hints at the variety of Raw Bar selections. In addition, there are small plate offerings with Charcuterie, Mussels, Brandade, Fondue de Fromage, Warm Marinated Olives, artisan cheeses, and fresh baked breads.

SEATING
The Grand Cafe seats 190 guests, and the adjoining Grand Café Bar seats 88 guests. Private dining is available for 36 (seated) or 50 (standing reception) in the stunning premiere space Peacock Terrace that overlooks the main dining room. Private dining available for 10 up to 175 guests in the adjacent Hotel Monaco.
