Our staff knows just where to go!
Getting off the beaten path and discovering hidden gems is one of the wonders of travel. But how do you find those special places? Ask a local. Hotel Monaco helps you make the most of your San Francisco stay by sharing our staff's favorite picks and insider tips.
We asked our intrepid staff: If you had only two days in San Francisco, what would you do? Take a peek, have some fun and Live Like a Local.

Cantina is a great little bar with amazing drinks and friendly bar staff.
Kozy Kar is a bar of all things cool from the 70's and early 80's. Custom vans, eight track players, chain steering wheels, and van bar seats are just a few thing I love about this place.
For great views of the bay on your run head to the Ferry Building, it's a great workout with great views of the bay.
The Botanical Gardens at Golden Gate Park & the children's playground is the top spot to spend a day in the park with children.
Ambiance is a one of a kind shop! I can always find a vintage dress, chic top and accessories to complement it!
My favorite shoe store in SF is Shoe Biz. They have exclusive collaborations with Reebok, Puma, and Adidas.
Presidio Bowl is a 12 lane bowling alley with a great bar and grill. It's a fun place to meet with a group of people.
The Exploratorium's After Dark events are just for adults, only once a month & feature interesting science exhibits, live music, and a full bar.
One of a kind
Inspired by mom and pop shops and ice cream trucks, the Octopops delivers handmade vegan, organic pops. I love their Nutella pop!
Golden Gate Park has the largest windmill of its kind in the world. It is called the Samuel Murphy Windmill.
